2. Booking your installation – To book your installation please either call on 01285 440200 or fill in the ‘Request an appointment’ form on this page.

3. Installing your hardware – Starlink requires a clear view of the Northern sky, but depending on the orientation and location of your property, we generally find that there is a suitable place to install the equipment. Our installation service invoices all the brackets, poles and other hardware you need.

The Starlink Version 2 ‘V2’ hardware does not have an ethernet port on the router and comes supplied with a WiFi only connection. You may require an ethernet port to connect your hardware to other networking equipment in your home or business. If this is the case, let us know and we able to supply this for you.

The new Starlink Gen4 kit does have two ethernet ports on the Starlink WiFi router, but requires an extra adaptor to mount the dish that has to be purchased separately.

Depending on where your router is located, we may also need to help you install some additional networking equipment to get your internet connection to the right place.

The Starlink monthly service charge is £75.00 inc VAT – payable directly to Starlink. You are not tied into a long-term contract like many of the traditional telecoms providers. Once your new service is up and running you can cancel the broadband element of any existing fixed line services or your entire phone line rental agreement.

Depending on where the dish needs to be mounted a longer cable may be required – the standard cable is 50ft – upgraded 75ft, and 150ft cables are available. Subject to availability, we normally carry these on our vans and are chargeable upgrades

We also install 5G and 4G broadband. Visit cotswoldtelecoms.co.uk/4g-5g for more details.

Starlink Business is in the Cotswolds

Struggling with business internet in the Cotswolds or across Gloucestershire? Starlink Business now offers an entry-level plan at £80.00+VAT (£96.00) per month, which includes 40GB of priority data before switching to standard speeds. A static IP address is also available with this plan. The next tier costs £150.00+VAT (£180.00) per month and comes with 1TB of priority data.

Wireless Connections / WiFi in the Cotswolds

Starlink’s high-speed connection is powerful enough to be shared across multiple buildings or with neighbouring properties, provided there’s a clear line of sight between locations. This allows businesses to spread the cost of the initial Starlink hardware and monthly service while keeping multiple sites online.

While Starlink delivers excellent broadband speeds, the included router comes with a basic wireless access point. For businesses in the Cotswolds and Gloucestershire that require stronger, more reliable WiFi across multiple devices or larger spaces, we recommend our mesh wireless access points and UniFi network solutions. These systems ensure optimal coverage and performance throughout your premises. For more information, click here.

Digital Voice (VoIP) Telephone in the Cotswolds

If you want to move away from traditional landlines but keep your existing number, our Digital Voice (VoIP) service is the perfect solution. It includes unlimited calls to UK landlines and mobiles, giving your business complete flexibility.

The service works through a free smartphone app, allowing you to make and receive calls using your landline number wherever you have an internet connection via 4G, 5G, or WiFi. Alternatively, you can use a physical corded or cordless phone system connected to your Starlink router with an ethernet adapter. Voicemail can also be set up to forward messages directly to your email, ensuring you never miss important calls.
